Police are looking for three people who robbed the Bay View 4 Square at 6:50pm on Sunday.

Two males entered the store just prior to closing time. They were armed with weapons, one of which was a cricket bat that was used to threaten the victim.

Both males concealed their appearances using clothing and bandanas.

The males demanded money and took several hundred dollars from the store till before running to a waiting vehicle driven by a third male.

The males are described as being male Mäori in their mid-twenties.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen three people acting suspiciously around the Bay View area between 6.00pm-7:00pm on Sunday. Appeals are also being made for sightings of the vehicle used in the robbery, a white older styled saloon that has been driven from Hill Road towards Napier after the robbery.
