Police work is never boring, especially when we get called out to some strange goings on that require more than the usual police response.
Sgt Phil Rowden and Const Mark Johnson had their hands full this week when they were called to uplift a kunikuni pig that had been stolen from a Havelock North property and whisked away to Napier.
Marmalade was found safe and well in a Napier backyard playing with the chickens when police arrived. On the way back to Marmalade's Havelock North home, Phil and Mark dropped in at the ABC playcentre in Greenmeadows to show the kids their little passenger.
Unfortunately, Marmalade couldn't wait to get to the playcentre and pooed on the back seat of the police car before they arrived! He is now safely home with his family and no doubt waiting for his next adventure. #betterworkstories
