We advise all potential customers to visit the kennels they plan to use. Go inside - look around!!! See if the dogs there are happy. Smell the establishment - there is no reason a boarding kennel should smell. Ask for references. Ask about their standards. Sight their Boarding Agreement. Most importantly ask your local vet what the kennel is like.
About Us:
The most important thing you have to consider when you leave your dog with someone is “Will my pet be safe and happy there?”
At Whitebay we concentrate on taking the greatest care of dogs in our charge. Beside the luxury of heated kennels, background music, retractable exterior blinds and optional twice daily walks we keep our kennels as clean as we possibly can.
Twice daily cleanings, underground waste disposal and sanitization. The grassed dog runs at Whitebay are huge! Two runs 18x 25 metres; two runs 16x4 metres; two runs 10 x 8 metresand also two smaller runs 7x8 metres.Individual runs are the only way to ensure there are no "accidents"
All dogs get two to three long play periods in their own run every day depending on weather.
Spacious individual runs for each dog at Whitebay
Medical Needs
We keep in close contact with all vets in Hawke’s Bay. Your dogs wellbeing comes first. We would have no hesitation in contacting your vet if we thought it was necessary. We keep all inoculation records. Our policy is: NO VACCINATION RECORD SIGHTED = NO BOARDING
Inspections Welcomed
Come visit us any time we are open to the public. That is 6.30am to 10.00am and 4pm to 6.30pm seven days a week. You are welcome to look over the facilities, see how other dogs are housed, exercised and kept happy.Max and Liz bred and showed LandseerNewfoundlands for many years and have a good knowledge of purebred dogs. Crossbred dogs get just the same care and attention. All dogs have individual kennels inside theirown runs. We recommend that these have the dog’s own bedding inside. We ask that you bring no bedding that has polystyrene beading. These beads can be dangerous if ingested.
Spacious individual runs for all dogs to play in three times a day.
Did I hear Dinner?
Max and Liz feed a high quality meat and mixed vegetable roll. Also we use and recommend Tux for breakfast which is a great all round biscuit. Some owners prefer to bring their own food and that is fine with us. Whitebay offer twice a day walks around the lavender. During these walks the dogs have leads on. It is about a 20 minute walk. These walks are optional and both walks together cost an additional $1 per day inc. GST.
Usually dogs sleep on the right and have a daytime run on the left.
This allows us to clean runs twice daily whilst giving dogs a clean dry run to be in
Pricing
At the time of publishing our price is $18.00 per day including GST.
